Main areas of interest

I regularly undertake general and regional anaesthesia for surgical specialties including general surgery, trauma & orthopaedic surgery, urology, neurosurgery, spinal surgery and ophthalmic surgery.

I have an interest in regional anaesthesia and am one of only a small number of anaesthetists in the area who has obtained the European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia & Acute Pain Management (EDRA). I use these skills to perform awake surgery as well as enhance post operative pain relief when appropriate including the use of ultrasound guided regional anaesthetic techniques.

Biography

I studied medicine at the University of Southampton, qualifying in 2000. I undertook my anaesthetic training in Wessex, Bristol and the South Coast and have been a consultant in Southampton since 2013.
