Biography

DR Neil McGill trained at the University of Southampton UK before moving first to the University of Michigan and then the University of Chicago Hospitals group. These are two of America's best hospitals. He returned to the UK in 2006 and is now the lead for bariatric anaesthesia (anaesthesia for weight loss surgery) at the Spire Hospital Southampton. He is also the leading UK anaesthetist for cancer ablation and is a co-founder of Cancer Ablation UK (www.ablationforcancer.co.uk) He is also a member of the Upper GI team and Thoracic surgical service at the University of Southampton Hospital. He also specialises in Opthalmic anaesthesia.
